Salem Democratic City Commttee Caucus

Purpose:  Elect Delegates to Massachusetts Democratic Convention
Monday April 14 6:00PM-7:30PM

Arrive before 6:15PM if you want to vote. Doors shut at 6:15 PM. Voter registration status as a Democrat will be checked at the door. Voting will be in person only.

 

If you are considering a run for  delegate please make sure you are free to be there in person Saturday September 13 from 9-2 PM and are able to make the drive to Springfield.

 

The Salem Democratic City Committee invites all registered Salem Democrats from all seven wards to the Caucus on Monday April 14’TH at 401 Bridge St Salem ( Community Life Center) . The purpose of the Caucus is to elect up to 6 delegates and 4 alternate delegates in each ward to attend the Massachusetts Democratic  Platform Convention on September 13’TH 2025 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield MA from 9-2 PM. Registered and pre-registered Democrats in Salem 16 years old by Saturday, March 29th may vote and be elected as delegates or alternates during the caucus. In addition to elected delegates, each ward elects four alternate delegates to convention who may  also attend convention. Those not elected as delegates or alternate delegates who are young Democrats aged 16-35, veterans, people with disabilities, Under- represented communities( Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and LGBTQIA folks are invited to apply as add-on delegates here: https://forms.gle/pthrtW8vmzDY... The cost of attending the convention as a delegate is $75. Seniors $65 and older and college students $50. Fee waivers will be available at the caucus.
